Our Core Values and Beliefs
"To nurture the inherent strengths of all students regardless of prior experience or fitness level".

  • Habits are significant to our health and
    well-being.

  • Sound Science frames our practice, therefore we follow American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) guidelines for exercise testing and prescription.
  • We believe in preventative medicine and reducing risk of chronic disease.  The U.S. Center for Disease Control and Prevention is an excellent resource from both an individual and a public health perspective.

  • It is important to nurture all dimensions of wellness including physical, mental, intellectual, spiritual, social, emotional, and environmental.

  • Balance, variety, and moderation are important to healthy, vital living.

  • Cardiorespiratory endurance, muscular strength & endurance, flexibility, and body composition are significant to health and should be part of a balanced fitness plan.

  • Mindfulness and creative expression enhance the benefits of any physical activity.
